Album Notes & Community Reviews

Associated heavily with the explosive mainstream success of the Neue Deutsche Welle, the D眉sseldorf-based group delivered an intensely rhythmic, fast-paced sophomore album. Driven by Andrea Mothes's commanding, slightly detached vocals and sharp, driving post-punk guitars, 'Tango 2000' completely eschews complex synthesis for straightforward, high-energy rock. It remains a vibrant, aggressive snapshot of the era's German new wave movement.
