Pink Moon

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in two late-night sessions, 'Pink Moon' is a work of stark minimalism, deliberately stripped of the lush orchestration of Nick Drake's previous albums. The sound features only his vocals, intricate acoustic guitar work, and a single piano overdub on the title track, a choice that magnifies the intimate and melancholic quality of the concise songwriting. Though met with commercial indifference and a mixed critical reception upon release, the album's reputation grew immensely over time, cementing its legacy as a harrowing and beautiful masterpiece of folk introspection.
