Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following her brief tenure with The Velvet Underground, Nico released a haunting, beautifully stark solo debut featuring songs penned by Lou Reed, John Cale, and Jackson Browne. 'Chelsea Girl' is incredibly lush and deeply melancholic, framing her famously apathetic, highly ethereal vocal delivery with wonderfully peaceful, bittersweet chamber-folk arrangements.
