Sirens

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Chilean-American producer delivers a profoundly political, incredibly atmospheric sophomore album. The record relies on slowly building, heavily textured ambient pop and minimal house, woven together with home recordings of Jaar conversing with his father. It addresses the painful history of the Pinochet dictatorship in Chile while serving as a dark, cautionary tale for modern democratic instability.
