Album Notes & Community Reviews

Titled after the Edward Carey novel, 'Observatory Mansions' is a profoundly bleak and atmospheric collection of lo-fi indie folk. Nicole Dollanganger pairs her delicate, childlike vocal delivery with sparse instrumentation to narrate deeply unsettling stories of sickness, isolation, and decay. The album further defined her signature 'murder folk' aesthetic within the online independent music community.
