Album Notes & Community Reviews
Centered around a sprawling, eighteen-minute medley of George Harrison songs recorded live at Fort Dix, this album serves as a profound, sorrowful protest against the Vietnam War. Backed by a full choir, Simone transforms pop structures into intensely spiritual, politically charged gospel anthems infused with deep existential pain.
