Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded during a period of self-imposed exile in Paris, this deeply personal album finds the legendary vocalist embracing a vibrant array of African and Caribbean rhythmic styles. 'Fodder on My Wings' features deeply introspective, often turbulent lyricism addressing her political disillusionment and emotional struggles. Originally released on a small French label, it remains one of the most raw and fascinating chapters of her later career.
