Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released shortly after her departure from Colpix Records, this album consists of leftover live material from her previously released 1963 Carnegie Hall concert. True to its title, the collection heavily emphasizes her interpretations of international folk songs and traditional blues over standard jazz repertoire. While compiled without her direct involvement, it effectively demonstrates her incredible versatility and unique ability to imbue diverse global material with profound emotional gravity.
