Album Notes & Community Reviews

Assembled largely from unused recordings and alternate takes following her departure from Colpix Records, 'Nina Simone With Strings' frames the vocalist against sweeping, orchestral backdrops. Despite its posthumous-label-release nature, the collection powerfully illustrates her profound interpretative abilities across jazz standards and deeply emotive soul.
