Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded entirely on a portable 8-track cassette recorder, Ramona Gonzalez's debut album is a seminal release in the emergent chillwave and bedroom pop scenes. The record filters breezy, R&B-inflected synth-pop through layers of tape hiss and muted equalization, creating a deeply intimate, hazy atmosphere that perfectly mimics a late-night, nostalgic dream state. It became a highly influential touchstone for lo-fi electronic pop.
