Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving after an extensive eleven-year hiatus from the recording studio, the iconic California pop-rock outfit reunited with producer Mark 'Spike' Stent. The album largely abandons the ska-punk roots of their early career, leaning heavily into polished 1980s synth-pop and heavily synthesized dancehall rhythms. Despite strong vocal performances from Gwen Stefani, the record received a highly mixed reception regarding its overtly commercial, contemporary electronic direction.
