Album Notes & Community Reviews

A foundational release in the Australian heavy music explosion, 'Discoveries' melds the crushing breakdowns of metalcore with the syncopated, down-tuned riffing of djent. Northlane creates a bleak, cosmic atmosphere utilizing atmospheric guitar leads that contrast sharply with relentless vocal aggression. The album established the band as pioneers of a more technical and progressive offshoot of modern metalcore.
