Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emerging during the initial wave of Rock Progressivo Italiano, 'In the Beginning' captures Nuova Idea transitioning from their beat group origins into more complex musical territories[cite: 1]. The compositions mix heavy guitar riffs with prominent Hammond organ, showing a strong British hard rock influence filtered through an Italian sensibility[cite: 1]. While less symphonic than their later masterworks, it remains a vital stepping stone in their discography[cite: 1].
