Steven Stapleton essentially birthed the British industrial noise underground with this famously uncompromising, deeply disturbing debut. Heavily inspired by Krautrock and free jazz, the album is a profoundly avant-garde, entirely improvised collage of scraping guitars, electronics, and atonal noise that remains incredibly ominous and intensely challenging.
