Album Notes & Community Reviews

Showcasing her immense, operatically trained contralto, Odetta delivers a stirring collection of folk songs, spirituals, and blues on 'It's a Mighty World'. The album is characterized by remarkably sparse acoustic arrangements, frequently relying solely on her powerful guitar strumming to underscore the emotional weight of her delivery.
