Sometimes I Feel Like Cryin'

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping momentarily away from her profound impact on the acoustic folk revival, Odetta recorded 'Sometimes I Feel Like Cryin'' with a full, swinging blues and jazz ensemble. Her booming, incredibly resonant voice tackles classic vaudeville and traditional blues standards with immense authority and emotional weight. The arrangements highlight her deep connection to the roots of African American popular music.
