Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dedicated entirely to obscure Ethiopian jazz, funk, and psych-rock samples from the 1960s and 70s, the California producer crafts a vibrant instrumental hip-hop project. By layering heavy, head-nodding drum breaks over loops sourced primarily from the legendary '脡thiopiques' compilation series, he builds a highly rhythmic and hypnotic beat tape. The record serves as a loving, cross-cultural homage to East African musical history.
