Album Notes & Community Reviews

Providing a massive shot of adrenaline directly into the burgeoning alt-country movement, 'Wreck Your Life' captures the Old 97's at their most fiercely energetic. The album flawlessly marries the rapid-fire, train-beat propulsion of punk rock with deeply melodic, classic country twang. Rhett Miller's highly literate, frequently heartbroken songwriting firmly elevated the band above standard roots-rock revivalists, securing them a dedicated national following.
