Variations on a Theme

Formed by the rhythm section of Sleep following that band's dissolution, Al Cisneros and Chris Hakius construct their debut entirely around distorted bass grooves and hypnotic drumming. The three prolonged compositions eschew traditional verse-chorus structures in favor of meditative, chanted vocals and massive, repeating low-end riffs.
