The Punishment of Luxury

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The thirteenth studio album from the foundational British electronic pop duo addresses the alienation and dissatisfaction inherent in modern consumer culture. The tracking relies heavily on the classic, pristine analog synthesizer melodies and propulsive drum machine sequences that defined their early 1980s commercial peak. The record proved to be a significant critical and commercial success, debuting at number four on the UK Albums Chart.
