Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking the band's first album recorded in the United States, '35xxxv' finds ONE OK ROCK embracing a more polished, Westernized alternative rock and pop-punk sound under the guidance of producer John Feldmann. The songwriting balances anthemic, emotionally charged choruses and cinematic power ballads like "Heartache" against the band's signature hard rock energy, all driven by Taka Moriuchi's soaring vocal performances. This album and its subsequent all-English international deluxe edition were pivotal in the band's push for global recognition, representing a deliberate and successful crossover effort.
