Album Notes & Community Reviews

Deliberately abandoning the massively successful, slightly cartoonish aggression of their debut, the Queens rap group delivered an incredibly dark, deeply nihilistic sophomore effort. The production is completely claustrophobic and grim, perfectly scoring Sticky Fingaz and Fredro Starr's shockingly bleak, intensely introspective lyricism regarding suicide and urban decay. The profoundly heavy, deeply overlooked release remains a critically adored masterpiece of pure mid-90s East Coast hardcore hip-hop.
