Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Uruguayan trio Opa delivers a brilliantly eclectic fusion of complex jazz-rock and the traditional Afro-Uruguayan rhythm of candombe. 'Magic Time' is marked by energetic improvisation, psychedelic keyboard textures, and incredibly tight, rhythmic drive. It remains a highly inventive and critically celebrated work in the Latin jazz fusion canon.
