Muuntautuja

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Muuntautuja', the band advances its fusion of black metal and psychedelic krautrock by incorporating a greater emphasis on industrial textures, layered noise, and abrasive electronics. The production treats the studio as an instrument, manipulating sounds to create a dense, sculptural, and alien sonic environment built upon hypnotic, pummeling rhythms. Thematically exploring the concept of a shapeshifter and transformation through death, the album balances its brutalist, disorienting assault with a sinister, atmospheric quality.
