Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following a tragic accident that claimed their original percussionist, the world-jazz pioneers reemerged with Trilok Gurtu providing an expansive array of global rhythms. 'Ecotopia' intertwines acoustic instrumentation, notably Ralph Towner's 12-string guitar, with subtle synthesizer washes and intricate chamber jazz interplay. The release brilliantly sustains their signature, organic blend of global traditional elements and modern improvisation.
