Album Notes & Community Reviews
Pioneers of world-fusion and acoustic improvisation, the American quartet Oregon continues their highly nuanced musical dialogue on 'Friends'. The intricate compositions utilize oboe, classical guitar, and sitar, successfully bridging the disciplined structure of chamber music with spontaneous jazz exploration. The recording perfectly captures the serene, highly textured aesthetic that heavily influenced the development of new age music.
