Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed by members of the Paul Winter Consort, the quartet's debut pioneered an entirely acoustic branch of jazz fusion. Seamlessly blending Western classical instrumentation, Indian tabla rhythms, and American avant-folk melodies, the record forged a deeply peaceful, improvisational aesthetic that foreshadowed the later world music boom.
