'Oklahoma!' was issued as a set of six 10-inch 78 rpm records containing twelve songs by the original New York cast, including Alfred Drake as Curly, Joan Roberts as Laurey and Celeste Holm as Ado Annie. Its commercial success established the original cast album as a recording format, and the album was later added to the National Recording Registry.
