'The Heart of Havana' was the third of Orquesta Arag贸n's RCA Victor LPs, following 'Cha Cha Cha' (1955) and 'That Cuban Cha Cha Cha' (1956). Under violinist Rafael Lay, who took over leadership in 1948, and flautist Richard Eg眉es, who joined in 1954, the Cienfuegos charanga had helped create cha-cha-ch谩 with Enrique Jorr铆n in 1953 and scored an international hit with 'El Bodeguero', covered by Nat King Cole in 1956.
