Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his prolific traversal of the American songbook, the virtuosic pianist deconstructs the classic melodies of Irving Berlin with staggering technical facility. Supported by Ray Brown and Barney Kessel, Oscar Peterson injects the familiar tunes with propulsive stride rhythms and brilliant harmonic invention. The trio session is a vibrant masterclass in high-velocity modern swing.
