The Midsummer Station

Album Notes & Community Reviews

For his fourth studio album, Adam Young significantly departed from his heavily synthesized, solo bedroom-pop origins to embrace collaboration with prominent mainstream songwriters and producers. The resulting record leans heavily into highly polished, radio-friendly dance-pop and massive, stadium-sized EDM hooks, featuring a massively successful collaboration with Carly Rae Jepsen. While alienating some early fans, the project firmly established Owl City as a formidable commercial pop entity.
