Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emerging from the bleak, highly isolated Finnish metal scene, this exceptionally aggressive sophomore album leaned heavily into the darker, more speed-driven elements of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. 'Fire in the Brain' is propelled by relentless, buzzsaw guitar riffing and Ape De Martini's intensely raspy, piercing vocal delivery, frequently touching upon occult lyrical themes. The remarkably intense, unpolished record quickly achieved legendary cult status among early extreme metal tape-trading networks.
