We Don't Even Live Here

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stefon Alexander, a founding member of the Doomtree collective, largely abandons his signature punk-rock influenced guitar sampling for this fiercely electronic fourth album. The record relies on heavy, distorted synthesizers and aggressive, techno-inflected drum programming, notably featuring production input from Boys Noize. It functions as a politically charged, hyper-kinetic, and deeply anxious exploration of modern societal collapse, perfectly marrying underground hip-hop with industrial dance aesthetics.
