Album Notes & Community Reviews

One of the founding figures of the Cuban Nueva Trova movement, Milan茅s dedicates this profound, stripped-down album entirely to the poetry of national hero Jos茅 Mart铆. Relying almost exclusively on his expressive tenor and delicate acoustic guitar, the recording transforms 19th-century revolutionary verses into poignant, deeply relevant folk songs. It represents a vital intersection of Latin American literary heritage and modern political folk music.
