Sinister Grift

On 'Sinister Grift', Panda Bear's eighth studio album, Noah Lennox collaborates extensively with his Animal Collective bandmate Deakin to steer his characteristic psychedelic pop towards warmer, more immediate rock-oriented arrangements. The album charts a striking emotional course, moving from accessible, sun-drenched pop into a more abstract and melancholy introspection driven by layered harmonies and raw, direct vocals. Co-produced by the duo, the record is built upon a diverse palette of live instrumentation, featuring contributions from all members of Animal Collective as well as artists like Cindy Lee and Rivka Ravede.
