Recorded as a tribute to his dying father, 'Young Prayer' is a raw, unpolished collection of acoustic hymns. Noah Lennox (Panda Bear) utilizes sparse guitar, piano, and wordless vocalizations to create an atmosphere of intimate spirituality and mourning. It is a stark departure from the electronic textures of his later work.
