Long before their reinvention as groove metal pioneers, the Texas quartet's sophomore effort remained deeply rooted in the flashy, theatrical style of mid-80s Sunset Strip hard rock. Featuring original vocalist Terry Glaze, the recording showcases early flashes of 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott's virtuosic guitar work beneath layers of commercial gloss. The band has since largely disowned this era of their discography, rendering it a curious historical artifact.
