Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking the highly anticipated return of original drummer Zac Farro, the band executes a flawless, drastic pivot away from pop-punk into incredibly polished 1980s new wave. The bright, danceable arrangements serve as a stark, intentional contrast to Hayley Williams's deeply pessimistic lyrics exploring severe depression, exhaustion, and fractured friendships. It is widely considered one of the finest pure pop records of the decade.
