Album Notes & Community Reviews
Created by an anonymous South Korean artist, 'To See the Next Part of the Dream' merges cathartic emo and expansive shoegaze, defined by a distinct lo-fi bedroom production that pushes virtual instruments and raw vocal recordings to their intentional clipping points. The album鈥檚 narrative explores themes of depression, nostalgia for 2000s Japanese media, and self-contradiction, capturing a struggle between past dreams and present reality that resonated with a massive online cult following and earned widespread critical acclaim.
