Album Notes & Community Reviews

Fusing her muscular hard rock roots with increasingly prominent synthesizer textures, the celebrated vocalist delivered a massively successful foray into mainstream new wave. Bolstered by Neil Giraldo's meticulous production and the MTV-fueled smash hit 'Shadows of the Night', the record showcases Benatar's powerful, operatically trained voice. 'Get Nervous' consolidated her status as one of the preeminent female rock stars of the 1980s.
