Album Notes & Community Reviews

Earning a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album, this sprawling release sees the acclaimed ensemble incorporating darker, more complex, and world-music-inspired textures. Metheny notably utilizes a 42-string Pikasso guitar, driving the highly cinematic, progressive arrangements into distinctly global, boundary-pushing jazz-fusion territory.
