Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Desmond Blue' was recorded for RCA Victor and pairs the alto saxophonist with lush string arrangements conducted by Bob Prince. The album deliberately sought to frame Desmond's dry, highly melodic tone in a romantic, easy-listening context, distinct from his rhythmic work with the Dave Brubeck Quartet.
