Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning to a more traditional, acoustic setting after several heavily orchestrated CTI releases, 'Pure Desmond' pairs the legendary saxophonist with guitarist Ed Bickert. The mellow, soothing session is a masterclass in cool jazz interplay, relying on the warm, melodic fluidity that defined Desmond's legacy with the Dave Brubeck Quartet.
