Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping out from Dave Brubeck's looming shadow, the uniquely lyrical alto saxophonist engages in conversational interplay with the mellophone on 'The Paul Desmond Quartet with Don Elliott'. The pianoless format emphasizes extreme clarity and delicate, floating counterpoint.
