Album Notes & Community Reviews

Initially released as a sprawling double album, this record cemented Paul Kelly as one of Australia's premier narrative songwriters. Backed by a remarkably versatile pub-rock band, Kelly delivers deeply literate, melancholic vignettes of urban romance and domestic struggle characterized by sharp, melodic pop-rock sensibilities.
