Album Notes & Community Reviews
Widely viewed as a major creative comeback for the former Beatle, 'Flowers in the Dirt' is notable for its highly publicized songwriting collaboration with Elvis Costello. The partnership yielded some of McCartney's sharpest and most focused material of the decade, balancing his innate melodicism with Costello's lyrical bite. The project featured an impressive roster of session musicians and producers, restoring significant critical goodwill toward McCartney's solo output.
