Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as one of the earliest official releases from the MTV Unplugged series, this intimate session finds the former Beatle revisiting his extensive catalog with a strictly acoustic ensemble. Stripping away modern production tricks, the setlist notably features several early rock and roll covers, highlighting the roots of his foundational songwriting style. Its commercial success proved highly influential in establishing the stripped-down format's popularity.
