Album Notes & Community Reviews

The legendary drummer leads a stellar quintet, featuring Bill Frisell and Joe Lovano, through a deeply nuanced exploration of modern acoustic jazz. 'Misterioso' masterfully navigates the space between structured post-bop composition and fluid, collective free improvisation. The album is highly celebrated for its exceptional interplay and the leader's incredibly subtle, coloristic percussion style.
