Album Notes & Community Reviews

Nicknamed 'The Vice Pres' for his distinct stylistic devotion to Lester Young, the tenor saxophonist navigates a buoyant, relentlessly swinging session. Supported by Mal Waldron's crisp piano work, the date successfully integrates airy, traditional swing phrasing into a modern rhythm section environment.
