Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving at the absolute height of the Britpop explosion he helped inspire, the former Jam and Style Council frontman delivered his most critically and commercially successful solo record. The remarkably soulful, meticulously crafted arrangements seamlessly fuse traditional British rhythm and blues with deeply personal, highly melodic rock songwriting. Featuring guest appearances from Steve Winwood and Noel Gallagher, the multi-platinum release reaffirmed his status as 'The Modfather'.
